Apply the adhesive to the tree trunk or branches, as well as to the stakes supporting young trees, and remove the protective paper. Apply the tape in mid-October, before the first frost. Replace it in February/March to catch caterpillars that have hatched under the old adhesive. Also, replace the glue ring whenever it is full of insects.
