The mole trap should be set up in a horizontal tunnel where rodents move. To do this, dig a small hole in the ground above the mole tunnel and place the trap there. Once the mole trap is properly placed in the ground, it should be covered so it is not visible. The location of the trap and whether an animal has been caught will be indicated by the steel paw-shaped detector included in the set.
