Rat poison should be applied to bait stations that are protected against unwanted opening and protect the applied product from moisture and humidity. It is recommended that the bait box be clearly labeled to indicate that it contains poison, which can be dangerous to children and pets. The poison, as well as dead animals, should not be touched with bare hands. Protective gloves must be worn, and the rats can be removed with a grabber. Use standard bait in mouse traps instead of poison.
